Kosmogonia wątpliwa jest rośliną, która opowiada o początkach zmyślonych; o wielu wczesnych etapach czegoś, co miałoby poprzedzać to, co jest teraz – albo to, co teraz mogłoby być.
Jesteśmy wplątanx w narracyjne kontinuum, z którego wynika nasza obecna sytuacja. Zanurzenie się w wielości wyobrażeń dotyczących alternatyw dla tego, co jest zastane, może wprowadzić w stan aporii, w którym zacierają się potoczne kategorie jak np.: żywe, martwe, ludzkie, zwierzęce, roślinne itd. Pojęcia te są przedmiotami narracji, porządkują nam codzienne wrażenia w określony sposób.
Wszysx wytwarzamy wytłumaczenia, racjonalizujące narracje, które następnie obiektywizujemy w ramach socjalizacji. Nasze tożsamości karmią się historiami i mitami powstającymi w taki właśnie sposób.
Światy Julii Woronowicz najczęściej powstają poprzez zaburzenie proporcji, przesunięcie i przestawienie elementów w zastanej rzeczywistości. Przykład alternatywnego origin story stokrotek, opowiadanego za pomocą przedstawień zmutowanych, przerośniętych kwiatków, przywodzących na myśl tripody z Wojny Światów Herberta George’a Wellsa, tworzenie międzygatunkowych hybryd, obrazowanie pierwszych ludzkich prób siodłania koni, boginki czy praprzodkinie, ma cel emancypacyjny – nadpisanie zastanych narracji. Artystka tworzy spekulatywne precedensy, nie dla badań, lecz dla ich częściowego urzeczywistnienia. Woronowicz proponuje je naszej pamięci, by mogły one stać się jej częścią oraz wpłynąć na naszą tożsamość.

A Cosmogony dubious is a plant that tells of invented beginnings; about many early stages of something that would precede what is now - or what might be now.
A Cosmogony dubious is a plant that tells of invented beginnings; about many early stages of something that would precede what is now - or what might be now.
We are entangled in a narrative continuum from which our current situation arises. Immersion in the multitude of imaginations concerning alternatives to the status quo can lead to a state of aporia, where common categories such as: living, dead, human, animal, plant, etc., become blurred. These concepts are subjects of narration, organizing our daily impressions in a specific way.
We all produce explanations, rationalizing narratives, which we then objectify within the framework of socialization. Our identities feed on stories and myths created in this very manner.
The worlds of Julia Woronowicz most often arise through the disturbance of proportions, the shifting and rearranging of elements in the existing reality. An example is the alternative origin story of daisies, told through representations of mutated, oversized flowers, reminiscent of the tripods from Herbert George Wells' War of the Worlds, the creation of interspecies hybrids, the depiction of the first human attempts to saddle horses, goddesses or ancestresses, has an emancipatory aim - to overwrite the existing narratives. The artist creates speculative precedents, not for research, but for their partial realization. Woronowicz offers them to our memory so that they can become a part of it and influence our identity.
